Desde su posesión como director del Club Militar, el vicealmirante (RA) Héctor Alfonso Medina Torres, adelanta un diálogo permanente con los señores socios de la entidad, así como con organizaciones de la Reserva Activa de las Fuerzas Militares y de Policía, para informarles sobre las políticas puestas en marcha para el cabal cumplimiento de la misión del Club. Las limitaciones impuestas por la pandemia y las medidas de bioseguridad no han sido obstáculos para que la dirección del Club interactúe permanentemente con los grupos de interés de la entidad, y para ello periódicamente se realizan videoconferencias en las que los señores socios aportan, sugieren y opinan en torno a la marcha de la entidad, en lo administrativo, financiero y operativo. Por su parte el vicealmirante Medina Torres ha expuesto a sus interlocutores las políticas de la entidad en esta etapa, que se caracteriza por una nueva filosofía: Actitud, Perseverancia y Pasión, elementos que marcan el derrotero de los hombres y mujeres que laboran en el Club Militar con el compromiso puesto en un mejor servicio para los socios y sus familias. Igualmente les ha dado a conocer el Plan Estratégico derivado al 2022, que tiene como objetivo hacer del Club Militar la mejor entidad del Grupo Social y Empresarial de la Defensa (GSED), al cual pertenece. Las videoconferencias efectuadas hasta el momento incluyen, entre otros, encuentros con grupos de socios encabezados por el exministro de Defensa, general Rafael Samudio y el vicealmirante Carlos Ospina Cubillos; con cursos de oficiales como el General Gustavo Rojas Pinilla, e igualmente con organizaciones como el Cuerpo de Generales y Almirantes (CGA) de las Fuerzas Militares; el Colegio de Coroneles de la Policía y la Asociación Colombiana de Oficiales en Retiro de la Policía Nacional (Acorpol). También se efectuaron reuniones con los subtenientes próximos a egresar de las Escuelas Militar de Cadetes ‘José María Córdova’ y Militar de Aviación ‘Marco Fidel Suárez’. En los próximos días el señor vicealmirante Medina Torres sostendrá encuentros virtuales con los cadetes de la Escuelas Naval ‘Almirante Padilla’ y de Policía, ‘General Francisco de Paula Santander’, para invitarlos a integrar la familia del Club Militar.
