El Club Militar se permite recordar que luego de su llamamiento a calificar servicios en el Ejército de Colombia, en 1994, el señor mayor (RA) MARIO FERNANDO GALEANO SÁNCHEZ no fue aceptado como Socio Efectivo de la entidad, en acatamiento de una solicitud expresa del entonces comandante del Ejército, general Hernán José Guzmán Rodríguez. En tal sentido el Club Militar ratifica a sus socios y opinión pública interesada, el texto de anteriores comunicados en el mismo sentido: “1. Que por oficio No 29585/CEDET-SJ-114 de fecha 21 de junio de 1994, el entonces comandante del Ejército, general Hernán José Guzmán Rodríguez, conceptuó que el señor mayor (RA), MARIO FERNANDO GALEANO SÁNCHEZ, una vez retirado del Ejército Nacional por llamamiento a calificar servicios, no debía ser aceptado como Socio Efectivo del Club Militar de Oficiales. 2. Que la Junta Directiva del Club Militar (hoy Consejo Directivo), en reunión de fecha 11 de agosto de 1994, y en Acta No.377, por unanimidad dio concepto desfavorable al ingreso como Socio Efectivo del señor mayor (RA) MARIO FERNANDO GALEANO SÁNCHEZ, decisión que fue comunicada al Oficial con fecha 13 de septiembre de 1994, quien no interpuso recurso alguno por vía administrativa. 3. Que en reunión celebrada el 11 de octubre de 1995, la Junta Directiva del Club, según Acta No. 390, reconsideró la solicitud de admisión como Socio Efectivo del señor mayor (RA) MARIO FERNANDO GALEANO SÁNCHEZ, confirmando la decisión anterior de no admitirlo como Socio Efectivo, determinación que le fue comunicada al solicitante mediante oficio 413 CM CDSS 93 del 12 de octubre de 1995. 4. Que la Junta Directiva del Club Militar en reunión de fecha 19 de abril de 1996, en Acta No. 396, por unanimidad dio concepto desfavorable al ingreso como Socio Efectivo del señor mayor (RA) MARIO FERNANDO GALEANO SÁNCHEZ. 5. Que en recientes administraciones, de manera inexplicable y en hechos que en la actualidad son materia de investigación, el señor mayor (RA) MARIO FERNANDO GALEANO SÁNCHEZ, obtuvo un carné que le permitió presentarse como socio del Club Militar, accediendo con ello a las instalaciones de la entidad y a sus servicios.
